WINNERS OF THE 2019 IMAGINATION AWARDS ANNOUNCED BY MPA – THE ASSOCIATION OF MAGAZINE MEDIA
The Economist, Forbes, Racer X, Smithsonian Magazine, The Taunton Press, Yankee Magazine Take Home Top Awards
Charleston, SC (May 9, 2019) – MPA – The Association of Magazine Media today announced the winners of the fourth annual Imagination Awards to honor the innovative and transformational work of independent magazine media (IMAG) companies and brands and bring recognition to the many creative and revenue-producing programs that leverage unique audience connection.
“Whether a brand has recently launched or been a household name for more than a century, the winners of this year’s Imagination Awards represent the unparalleled ability of our IMAG community to connect with enthusiast audiences with creativity and innovation,” said Linda Thomas Brooks, president and CEO, MPA – The Association of Magazine Media.
The Imagination Awards recognize projects and teams across the entire company that capture the essence of a brand and demonstrate innovative thinking and imaginative tactics, well-defined business objectives, and successful execution and results. Awards are presented in six categories: Audience, Content, Digital, Events, Leadership and Revenue.

Entries were evaluated by a panel of judges composed of senior executives from a variety of independent magazine media companies. Winners were judged on ingenuity, effectiveness and their ability to enhance brand voice and serve enthusiast audiences. They are as follows:

The winners were revealed at the Imagination Awards Gala on Thursday, May 9 during the annual IMAG Conference in Charleston, SC.
