What's The Value of an Engaged Consumer Minute? = Turns Out It's $1.81
As so-called "rewarded, opt-in" advertising models gain steam on Madison Avenue, MediaPost asked Advertiser Perceptions to poll a representative sample of advertisers and agency execs on what they consider the per minute value of engaged consumer attention is worth. Turns out it's a median of $1.81, but marketers averaged about 10% more - or a median of 17 cents more per engaged minute...
How Ronan Farrow Keeps Landing Bombshells
Journalists in New York, DC and L.A. talk about Farrow, 30, with a mix of awe and envy. In the past year, he has earned practically every major award in the journalism world. His reporting about Weinstein, paired with The Times' work, won a Pulitzer Prize in April. Still, Farrow "has his head about it," The New Yorker's David Remnick said. "The work is the work is the work." In a phone interview, Remnick said Farrow is a prime example of how "good journalism leads to more good journalism." "If you present yourself to the world as somebody who's aggressively pursuing the truth in a certain trench, you're going to start getting tips too," he said.

Independent and enthusiast magazine media executives from across the country came together for robust conversation and candid idea sharing at the 14th Annual IMAG Conference in Boston. The event was hosted by Elizabeth Bramson-Boudreau, CEO and publisher, MIT Technology Review; David Nussbaum, CEO and chairman of the board, America’s Test Kitchen; and Jamie Trowbridge, president and CEO, Yankee Publishing. The theme was Revolution: both a nod to Boston’s role in the formation of America and a representation of the extreme transformation we are seeing in the magazine media industry.
