There has been a flurry of Democratic bylines in women’s magazines: "So far, the stack of national bylines in women’s magazines reads like a 2020 watch list. Former Vice President Joe Biden, along with New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo and Sens. Elizabeth Warren of Massachusetts, Kamala Harris of California, Kirsten Gillibrand of New York, and Cory Booker of New Jersey have written for a mix of Cosmopolitan, Essence, Glamour, Marie Claire, Refinery29, and Teen Vogue, among others." Time Inc. and Twitter Partner for PeopleTV Videos
Time Inc. has made a deal with Twitter to stream its OTT network PeopleTV on the social platform. Time Inc. will stream select real-time programming on the Twitter handle @PeopleTV starting November 20.

2017 New York Journalism Hall of Fame on November 16
The Deadline Club is pleased to announce the 2017 New York Journalism Hall of Fame. Established in 1975 to celebrate The Club’s golden anniversary, the tradition continues on Nov. 16, when five iconic New York journalists will be inducted during a luncheon ceremony at Sardi’s Restaurant. All of the honorees plan to be on hand to receive their Hall of Fame medals and speak about their remarkable careers. ­The last day to purchase tickets at the early bird rate will be Friday, November 10.
MPA – The Association of Magazine Media Released the Latest Magazine Media 360° Brand Audience Report.
The Total Magazine Media 360° audience for September 2017 is flat versus same month year ago (-0.5%), Print+Digital is up +3.7%, Web (Desktop/Laptop) is down -13.7%, Mobile is down -4.9%, and Video is up +33.3%. The report covers 127 magazine brands across 30 companies. The September report shows the same trends we have witnessed for each month since the start of the year. Both Print and Video platforms show growth versus year ago, Web is in its third continuous year of decline, and Mobile Web has also declined compared to a year ago, likely related to the change in methodology implemented by comScore at the start of the year.

“The MPA’s IMAG community prides itself on sharing and learning from one another,” said Andy Clurman, President and CEO of Active Interest Media and Chair of the IMAG Financial Benchmarking Study. “As a board, we thought a benchmarking study would be the ideal way to provide member companies with key metrics to better understand how their performance compares to similar companies.” The survey was conducted in the last quarter of 2016 by Mazars USA, a global accounting firm. Only open to members of the IMAG community, participants received two sets of detailed results: one for all respondents and one broken down by revenue tier.
