Inc. Magazine Has Most Profitable Year in Decade
2016 is proving to be Inc.’s most profitable year since billionaire entrepreneur Joe Mansueto bought it in 2005: CRO John Donnelly pointed to a list of positive numbers for the publication, which focuses on content for entrepreneurs, start-ups and small business, as evidence that Inc. is “the fastest-growing business property in the US.” Web traffic is up 110% from two years ago and page views are up 105%. Video views have risen 68% this year. Inc.’s print magazine audience grew 9.1% since last year, according to data from market research and consulting firm Ipsos.

Billboard Buys Spin and Vibe in a Quest to "Own the Topic of Music Online:" Digital Publications Will Reach 45 Million Readers
The Hollywood Reporter-Billboard Media Group is acquiring the music assets of SpinMedia, including Spin, Vibe and Stereogum, expanding Billboard's reach into the music news world. Todd Boehly’s Prometheus Global Media, which already owns Billboard and The Hollywood Reporter, has signed a deal Thursday to buy Vibe and Spin and two other sites from SpinMedia.

Newspapers Record Strong Readership, Print or Digital: Nielsen Scarborough
A Nielsen Scarborough study measured U.S. newspaper readership and found that more than 169 million adults read a newspaper in print, on a Web site or on a mobile app in a month in 2016. In total, newspapers reach 69% of the U.S. population each month.
