MPA Report: Magazine Brands' Social Media on Growth Trajectory
MPA–The Association of Magazine Media has released a social media report for magazine media for the first half of 2016. It reveals that likes and followers were up 7% from the first quarter, with the industry gaining over 1 billion likes and followers in total.
Facebook, Instagram Top Networks for Magazine Industry
According to the Magazine Media 360° Social Media Report, Facebook is the clear leader, claiming almost half of the total magazine media industry likes and followers on social networks and platforms. Facebook-owned Instagram has grown 16 percent; it’s the fastest-growing of the platforms measured, and for the first time it surpassed Twitter among the participating magazines.

Nielsen Catalina Solutions (NCS), the leader in helping CPG marketers optimize return on advertising spend (ROAS) with in-store purchase data, presented the study, “Yes, Advertising Works. Now, What’s My ROAS Across Media Platforms?” at the Advertising Research Foundation's Audience Measurement 2016 conference. The study generated benchmarks that allow marketers to compare the return they should expect from every dollar of their cross-media, digital video, display, linear TV and magazine advertising spending. In its analysis, NCS worked with The Advertising Research Foundation, CBS Corporation, Meredith Corporation, Sequent Partners and a prominent technology and display advertising company.
