Mary Berner to Depart MPA, and Become CEO of Cumulus Media
“In her role as president and CEO of MPA, Mary and the board marshalled the resources of an entire industry to transform how it is perceived during a time of massive disruption brought about by the digital explosion,” says Steve Lacy, chairman, MPA board of directors, and chairman and chief executive officer, Meredith Corporation. Berner, who’s leaving to become CEO of Cumulus Media on October 13, will be temporarily replaced by MPA’s senior vice president of marketing and digital initiatives Nancy Telliho.
Condé Nast Colonizes Lower Manhattan
In a sign of the company’s embrace of its new territory, Condé Nast Traveler posted an article in May headlined “Where Condé Nast Editors Eat and Play in Lower Manhattan,” complete with recommendations for restaurants close to the tower.
Meredith to Publish New Lifestyle Title, Beekman 1802 Almanac
It's intended as a premium product, more akin to a book than a magazine, and as a contemporary version of those almanacs once relied upon by farmers. To underscore how contemporary the Beekman 1802 Almanac is meant to be, it's a partnership between Meredith and a same-sex married couple, Josh Kilmer-Purcell and Brent Ridge.

The average industry growth is 4.2% for the month year over year. This month, the Women’s Fashion category showed the biggest gain with total audience growth of 18.6% -- more than quadruple the industry average. The increase was driven by an 85% increase in mobile web audience and a 113% increase in web (desktop/laptop.)
