North American Whitetail's Gordon Whittington writes: "What makes a whitetail buck a legend? -Great size is the first criterion, but it’s not always enough; while many giants dot the record books, few are household names. The missing ingredient often is a truly compelling tale. Crazy twists and turns in a huge buck’s story make him unforgettable to those who hunt or simply admire such giants. Over time, as a world-class whitetail and equally memorable events to go with him become widely known, he attains legendary status."
