Cosmopolitan Magazine to Shuttle College Voters to the Polls
For the first time in its more than 100-year history, the publication recently took on politics with its “#CosmoVotes” campaign in September, two months before the midterm elections. The initiative aims to encourage young women to vote and to endorse specific candidates with their issues in mind.

Today, AARP begins an aggressive marketing effort for the custom tablet, using national TV, print, digital and in-stores. The TV ads will run through December on network TV shows including NFL games, cable channels including USA, TNT and ESPN, and in syndication. Print ads will run in People magazine and The Washington Post.

The Banner Ad Turns 20
On October. 27, 1994, HotWired, the online version of Wired magazine, runs the first-ever banner ad. "Have you ever clicked your mouse right HERE?" the ad asked. "YOU WILL" it answered. It was right. 44% of people who saw the ad clicked on it, according to Joe McCambley, who was a member of the team which built the ad for AT&T.
