American Society of Magazine Editors Unveiled Finalists for Best Cover of the Year Competition
The 10 finalists each represent different categories, such as Entertainment and Celebrity, Women's Service, Sexiest and Most Delicious. The winner of each category was chosen by by top editors and art directors, and on April 30, one finalist will be named the Cover of the Year.
Amby Burfoot's and Runner's World's Triumphant Boston Marathon
Reported by Runner's World, as it has since its launch in 1969—one year after Wesleyan University student Ambrose ("Amby") Burfoot (pictured 46 years ago) won the race. He would go on to be RW editor-in-chief from 1986-2003 and editor-at-large since, and a Burfoot tradition was to run Boston every five years in advance of his 50th anniversary in 2018.
