People Partners With Twitter for Behind-the-Scenes CMA Coverage, Celebs' Selfies to Appear in People Feed
People will be the first media partner to use the Twitter Mirror backstage at an event. The photos and videos snapped by the presenters, nominees and performers will be available on People’s Twitter feed thanks to the visual timeline. Followers won’t even have to manually open the photos to see them in their feeds.
Forbes Media Partners to Create Online Business School
The Forbes School of Business will offer an online program through a speaker series and webinars featuring business experts culled from Forbes’ roster of approximately 1,200 international contributors. Forbes’ contributors will also be available to serve as guest lecturers at the school’s Iowa campus.
AARP Sends a "Thank You" to Caregivers
Timed to coincide with November’s National Family Caregivers Month, to honor the 42 million Americans who care for a loved one with a chronic condition, disability or the frailties of old age, the campaign is the second time AARP and the Ad Council have collaborated on this issue.
Brides Magazine Wants Its App to Take on Wedding Dress Counterfeiters
The magazine said consumers using the app's new feature, Brides Against Counterfeiting, can hold their smartphones over the website of a participating retailer or manufacturer to view an AuthentiGuard Prism, which is a symbol embedded with code.
Siempre Mujer Day of the Dead Benefit Draws Celebs, Raises $55,000 for Arts Education
The benefit raised $55,000 with all proceeds supporting El Museo’s Latin American and Hispanic arts education programs. The event drew more than 450 people, including Telemundo host Adamari Lopez and Latin-fusion singer Xenia Rubinos.
