Association of Magazine Media Reacts to USPS Exigency Filing
Mary Berner, President and CEO of The MPA, has issued the industry's official statement after the Postal Board of Governors today announced their decision to file for an exigent postage rate increase of approximately 6%.

"For our business, if we think that we can have the same kinds of companies with the same cultures, with the same people, doing the same things engaging in the same ways and expect to compete, let alone succeed in the digital age, then that is the definition of insanity," said Mary Berner, president and CEO, MPA -The Association of Magazine Media, at the FIPP World Congress in Rome today.
Time Inc. Open to Acquisitions
Time Inc. CEO Joe Ripp said he would not rule out acquisitions of print or digital properties as part of his efforts to grow the magazine empire after it is spun off as a separate entity.
