Q1 Ad Spending Comes in Flat, But Not for Some Magazine Media Categories
Consumer magazines' print advertising increased 1.8%, while Hispanic magazines' print advertising leapt 12%. Local magazines fell 5.7%, followed by business-to-business magazines, down 4.1%, -and Sunday magazines were down 3.7% while Broadcast TV also saw declines.

Hearst's Dr. Oz Magazine Coming Early Next Year
Hearst Magazines plans to publish two test issues of a new lifestyle magazine with celebrity physician Dr. Mehmet Oz in the first quarter of 2014, the company said today. The company plans to distribute about 350,000 copies at newsstand and another 450,000 to subscribers of other Hearst titles.
