Malcolm Netburn is the chairman and chief executive officer of CDS Global, a subsidiary of Hearst and the world’s largest provider of data solutions, customer management, digital and marketing solutions, payment solutions and customer care to the magazine media industry.
Throughout his career in media, Netburn has been an evangelist for multiplatform publishing and the use and deployment of technology to support new business models. He has partnered with many of the leading media brands to advocate for change and transformation, and to embrace disruption with bold strategies and plans.
Prior to leading CDS Global, Netburn had executive and technology leadership roles at Scholastic, the equity company Veronis Suhler Stevenson (Chemical Week, Chemical Engineering, Modern Plastics, etc.), the National Wildlife Federation and the Christian Science Monitor. He was the 2013 inductee into the Media & Content Marketing Association (MCMA) Hall of Fame.
