New York, NY (July 22, 2008)—Magazine Publishers of America (MPA), the industry association for consumer magazines, has relaunched its website, www.magazine.org, it was announced by Nina Link, President and Chief Executive Officer, MPA. The premier portal for magazine industry information offers a host of new features and improvements designed to enhance both MPA-member and non-member user experiences.
Highlights of the new www.magazine.org include:
Streamlined navigation: The design allows users faster access to information they are looking for. Plus modules for “Related Content,” “Most Viewed Content” and “Featured Topics”
Optimized search: More targeted and relevant search results
“We redesigned www.magazine.org not only to increase online engagement with our various constituents but to also better take advantage of technological advances in the digital space,” said Ms. Link. “This redesign is the just the first step in our online ‘makeover,’ so look forward to even more enhancements to the portal in the coming months.”
On the revamped website, designed by New York City multimedia firm iNDELIBLE, MPA domestic, international and associate members are able to access hundreds of “Members Only” content, including online publications such as the MPA E-Newsletter, reporting on important developments in the industry, and “SalesEdge,” a weekly one-pager geared to help magazines sell advertising more effectively. Exclusive content also includes toplines of industry surveys, on topics such as postal, paper, human resource benefits and more. Non-members, which include members of the advertising community, the press and the general public, have access to hundreds of research and advertising case studies, industry trend data on advertising volume and circulation, and various editorial fact sheets. In addition, job seekers can find the latest industry openings via the MPA Job Bank that is located in the “Careers” section, which also features career resource guides and information on internships.
